• Arrival: You will want to arrive early Monday, MTM registration is from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. MTM orientation time will be sent to you prior to arrival. IMTA Opening Ceremonies seating begins at 4:45 on Monday. If arriving on Sunday January 5th, you also may register early between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. You will receive a packet which will contain the week's schedule, your participant badge, agency t-shirt and program book. We will have a brief orientation in our private ballroom immediately following registration. We will continue to have meetings each day to keep you informed.

  • Additional guest passes to attend any auditions or seminars are available for purchase when you check in for $125 (per person, cash only- NO credit cards or checks will be accepted). Passes may only be purchased at IMTA and not in advance. Additional passes for the awards banquet are $215.00 per person.

    * If you have a guest that wants to attend banquet & any other events they would pay total $340.00 (cash only at time of check in)

    You always want to look your best at all times, but not overdressed. When you arrive at the hotel on Sunday you will want to be comfortable. If you decide to wear jeans, they must be in good shape and well fitted. Females very light makeup entire weekend, no jewelry with the exception of a small earring. Agent Introduction & Overview: Contestant are requested to wear black

    • Fashion Print & Runway Contestants appear on the runway In one outfit which is appropriate for their age (no swimsuits, no props).

    • SwimwearContestants 13 and older walk the runway in a one or two-piece swimsuit (no thongs allowed); children 4-12 appear in age-appropriate beachwear, which may include shorts, shirts or skirts over a one-piece swimsuit(absolutely no 4-12 year old girls in bikinis). Bare feet are recommended; beach shoes or low sandals are suggested. No stockings or props (something which is carried); accessories such as sun glasses or hats are allowed. Contestants must wear a cover-up in the hallways and on the elevators.

    • TV Beauty No hats, bare shoulders, or costumes. Solid colors are recommended.

    • Makeup Contestants arrive at the competition with a clean face and hair pulled away from the face. Bring own makeup and lighted makeup mirror

    • Jeans Contestants compete on the runway in basic blue jeans and any type of shirt. As a jeans competition, skirts, overalls and shorts are NOT acceptable.

    • Theatrical Headshots & Screen Test Recommended wardrobe is jeans and a solid color shirt.

    • TV Real People No hats, bare shoulders, or costumes. Solid colors are recommended.

    • Monologues No props or costumes.

    • Cold Read Recommended wardrobe are jeans and a solid color shirt

    • TV Scene Recommended wardrobe are jeans and a solid color shirt

    • Kids Spot Show your personal style.

    • Improv Recommended wardrobe are jeans and a solid color shirt

    • On Camera Host Recommended wardrobe are jeans and a solid color shirt

    • Awards Ceremony Dress similar to what would be worn for a wedding or special occasion. No Jeans or Flip-Flops.

    • Model Spot Models appear fresh faced in simple attire.

    Open auditions ONLY. Please refer to your competition judging guidelines sheet for details of open and closed auditions.

    TV Beauty, TV Real People, and TV Scene: scripts will be emailed to you. Scripts MUST be memorized prior to the event.

    You only need a monologue if you are planning to compete in this category. You may choose your own, or make up your own. Please check with your local bookstore or library for a monologue book. It should be no more than 60 seconds. You will want to memorize it. Please bring two copies of the script. You will give one to your acting coach. *You may purchase a monologue book by calling Model Mart at (800) 223-1254 or ordering from them on line at www.models-mart.com.

    You will need a book only if you are interested in print work. You will want to have 4 to 6 photos enlarged for your book. We suggest a matte finish. You must order books at the time of initial registration. Cost is $40 (cash only- no checks or credit cards accepted) payable at the convention for 9" X 12".     • Models need to bring 50 composite cards.

    • Actors need to bring 50 head shots with resume attached to back. Please have your resume printed on 8 X 10 paper.

    • If you are interested in both modeling and acting, bring both.
